The University of Art and Design from Cluj celebrated on the 28th of June 2007- the opening of the first Concept Store in Cluj-Napoca, which pursues building a new brand “bUY UAD”. The brand proceeds from the creations and artworks of the UAD students.
“bUY UAD” is a unique project of its kind in Cluj, being the first concept store opened by a university. The opening of such a shop is a natural step in the educational and artistic evolution of our university, being a conceptual space well thought out for a large public who is wanting to buy for special prices , valuable artistic objects. The new commercial space, opened in the heart of “CASA MATEI” in Cluj-Napoca wants to be a space of junction between different directions in visual arts specific to the contemporary artistic climate, in which artworks from fields like painting, sculpture, photography, videoart, ceramics, design and fashion design will be exhibited for sale.
